We have a large range of good dry yeasts. We also
stock the WYeast liquid yeasts: we ensure the yeasts are always
fresh. It may pay to order any specialised yeasts in advance. We
buy the WYeast seasonal yeasts as they become available.
DRY BEER YEASTS
These are excellent yeasts and make good beers. If
you are using liquid yeasts then a couple packets of dry yeast is
a good standby when a starter fails.
LALLEMAND DRY BEER YEASTS-DANSTAR
Two ale yeasts are left in this range that also used
to contain Danstar London and Manchester.

HiFerm is a true dried lager yeast. Used by smaller German breweries
to ferment Pilseners. Note the special rehydration instruction
for this yeast. 35g makes for the right pitching rate for clean

SAFALE 04 11.5G
Dried ale yeast, similar to WY1099 Whitbread. Neutral and slightly
fruity, clears well. All Saflager yeasts should be rehydrated at
25C, Safale yeasts at 30C. |

SAFALE K97 ALE YEAST
This dry ale yeast is said to be the same strain as WY 1007
German Ale. Crisp clean ales, does not flocculate well. Despite
the label on the packets this is NOT a wheat yeast. |

Produces well balanced beers with low diacetyl and a very clean,
crisp end palate. Alcohol tolerant to 12%, 15-24C. |

SAFLAGER S23 11.5G
S-23 is a German style dried lager yeast, developing the best
of its lager notes under low-temperature fermentation. Good
flocculation with excellent attenuation. 10-14C. |

DCL 34/70 11.5G
The best of the Saf lager yeasts. Clears well. Said to be a
Weihenstephan lager strain with unique technological specs and
