Going to restart the general blog.

But until I do that, this is some of what I did yesterday. It was a great walk tho arthritic hip hurting big time at the end of it!

Also made a great cheesecake!

Note the red and black currents on top of the cake. These are available now fresh and brightly colored currants/berries are just chockablock with antioxidants! Healthy! Anti-aging! Also delicious, also full of vitamins! Note how the middle (vertical middle) of the cake looks a bit different? Spread a desert dip there, apricot brandy and ginger, made it even richer!

is the mutt I took the walk with yesterday, standing by my tomato plants. Homegrown tomato shits all over storebought! Hmm those plants are quite a bit taller by now, that photo was taken 2 or 3 weeks ago! Have already had a few (cherry) tomatoes, but need some nice hot sunny days to get much happening. Got about 30-40 plants which I water once a week.

Tommy Toe cherry, Black Russian/Black Krim, Grosse Lisse, Oxheart, Mortgage Lifter, Roma, Principe Borghese and other varieties. Gonna be great!

Inevitably there will be a huge glut of toms at some stage, time to sundry some, turn others into sauce, relish etc. And give some away, sharing the joy Smile

On way back from Torrens went to Wayville Farmers Market (9.00-1.00 Sunday) to pick up a rich Belgian Choc fudge cake, much nicer than christmass pud! After that, the Stirling Market, got a book on Gallipoli and some salvias to plant at back of garden. Made Thai chicken soup for dinner, bloody nice!
