No new posts Cooking with beer
People cook with wine, but you can cook just as well with beer. The type of beer to use is a nice non-hoppy nut brown or bock, as boiling the beer down concentrates the bitterness So, who will post some recipes?

No new posts Gluten-free brewing
As we all know, some people cannot eat foods containing gluten, this is coeliac disease. Coeliac sufferers cannot drink beers made from barley because its gluten content, though small, is enough to make them sick

Here you can advertise reasonably beer/wine/mead/cider/soft drink etc gear that you want to buy used or want to get rid off. you will need to post a phone or postal address-email addresses you can post but the @#$%& SPAM suckholes will harvest these and I accept no responsibility or liability for any consequent deluge of SPAM, identity theft etc. I won't accept ads not clearly related to making beverages at home.

No new posts Cider making day
We have a crusher and a press, these can be used to crush apples as well as grapes and so I was thinking we could have a cider-making day: wash, core, halve, crush then press the apples, adding a little bit of ascorbic acid (Vit C) to prevent too extreme discloration of the juice and act as yeast nutrient. So, anyone interested? Please post to this Forum if so
